Contacted them for help and no repsonse. Paid 19.99 and i cant get any format to print anything but blank sheets with borders.…. MY BRAND NEW Macbook has been frozen on the app for 12 hours, cant even power down my computer. This app is terrible. I am going to contact apple now
This app is good. It does all the things the name implies, which is all you need from it really. I paid the $20 to upgrade, and remove the 3-page-at-a-time limit, which I didn’t begrudge at all. It was worth the cost. The problem is that twice now, since I purchased it in Dec, it has seemingly randomly decided that I didn’t in fact upgrade, and it wanted me to pay another $20 to upgrade again, so I can continue my work. This is ridiculous. I can’t recommend something that feels like extortion. Thanks anyway.
Pleasantly Surprised!
Given the less than great comments, I wasn't expecting much but I tried the app because it was free and worth a shot. It did great for me. The only drawback was the 3-page-at-a-time limit. I don't mind that though because I don't have to do this very often. I'm thankful for the help the help this app gave me. It made my day so much easier.
Dishonest & waste of time. "Free" only 3 times then 10.00
Title should be: PDF to Pages Free 3 times Do not get suckered into wasting your time on this app! Find one with an honest programmer instead of one who uses shady tactics to get you to try their program and WASTE YOUR OWN PRECIOUS TIME finding out you will need to find another program that REALLY is free for all conversions. Someone trying to justify this immoral wasy of marketing will say will say, "well, it only says free and not how many times...and it was free to download." Get a life. The time it cost me to download and try to use this was my own time that was stolen by their dishonesty...or at least their implication by the title.
It Converts as Expected
Hands down! This is an incredible app!! It does an incredible job of converting the pdf file to a useable pages format.
Didn't work
I used the free endition and all the photos on the PDF, instead of being thumbnail size, showed up as almost full page size. Defeated the purpose if I had had to adjust 25 pages of photos... Ill try to find another way to make my PDF editable. Thanks for the ability to test it out!
Garbage
Converts to pictures of text, not text. Worthless. Can do that with a screen-shot.
It's converts... but not very well
So I bought this in order to convert a plain-text PDF to a .pages document for editing. It DID in fact convert the document over, but the locatations of the text as well as the fonts were just all over the place. So, yes... it does indeed convert the document, but not as you'd expect. In fact, most of the text it put in a page-length text box for each individual line. Meaning if I had intended on editing the document, I'd have to selection each line individually since it was all in a stand-alone box. What a pain. I read other reviews and though to myself that since mine was just all text that it'd be a simple conversion. Well, I thought wrong. I suppose it's my fault for spending the 9.99 and instead should have just tried the software out with the free 3 document limit before forking over the money. Shame on me for having faith in something without testing it first. Lesson learned.
Don’t waste your money on this app.
Purchased the iWork Format pack to import and modify PDF. Adding text box is random and does not recognize blank lines or check boxes. Mac OS Preview is better choice and is free.
Converted everything incorrect
Converted everything into a text box, everything was miss aligned. Did not convert the text onto the document like it should.
Worked Okay
This app worked mostly as promised for a simple task. Convert a 1 page .pdf to .pages. At 600 dpi, it converted it perfectly and in a few seconds, with text and lines just as in the .pdf, but into an older .pages version that I easily upgraded manually. However, the resulting document was no more modifyable than a .pdf or a .png file. The only modification I required was to change the text color. It could not be performed. If all you need is an exact picture of of your .pdf in .pages format, this is your tool.
